Rio personalises your weight loss plan by analysing your genetics, hormones, metabolism, and lifestyle to understand how your body uniquely works. This starts with an online consultation where we understand your lifestyle, health history and goals to determine the most suitable solution for you. 

This information is then used to create a tailored plan with specific recommendations for food, exercise, and other lifestyle factors. 

The dose increases every 4 weeks until you reach a maintenance dose. This will be explained in detail in your 1-1 consultation. 

It is self-injected, once per week.

This is dependent on your health goals, response to the programme and implementation of new lifestyle habits. This will be discussed in your 1-1 consultation.  

Mounjaro is generally well tolerated. It can cause side effects, most commonly gastrointestinal issues like nausea, diarrhoea, and vomiting (affecting up to 1 in 10 people), especially when starting treatment. These are usually mild and improve over time. Always read the Patient Information Leaflet and talk to your healthcare provider for a full list of side effects and management advice.

The Rio Transform plans include a genetic testing and a blood test.

The genetic test analyses your DNA to identify genetic factors that may be impacting your health & weight. This includes polygenic risk scoring, which assesses your genetic predisposition for heart disease, high blood pressure, high cholesterol, stroke, type 2 diabetes and early menopause. With Transform+ there are an extended list of genetic predispositions that are included.

The blood test provides insights into your hormone levels, metabolic health, and key biomarkers.

The blood sugar sensor is a small, wearable device that continuously monitors your blood sugar levels. This information is then sent to the Rio app, where you can track your progress and see how your food and lifestyle choices impact your blood sugar.
